Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website and when you use our project enquiry form.
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with this website is:
Rafael Colomina Laiz, self-employed, operating under the business name Calvus Web Design.
Haldenstrasse 161, 8055 Zurich, Switzerland
Email: support@calvuswebdesign.com
Phone: +41 77 258 34 17
2. General principles
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union.
We only process data that is necessary for the respective purpose, use it exclusively for the purposes described in this policy, and share it only with service providers required to deliver those purposes.
Where the GDPR applies, we base our processing in particular on pre-contractual measures and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and on our legitimate interests in a secure, functioning website and in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Hosting and technical access data
This website is operated with an external hosting provider. When the website is accessed, connection data is processed for technical reasons, as is the case with every website request — in particular the IP address, the date and time of access, the address requested, and information about the browser and operating system.
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and detect misuse. We do not create user profiles from it.
The connection to this website is encrypted via HTTPS.
3a. Language and currency by country
Our hosting provider derives the country (e.g. “CH” or “US”) from the IP address of your request. We use this solely to suggest a suitable language (German or English) and currency (CHF or USD) on your first visit. The country is not stored, not combined with other data, not used for advertising and not shared with third parties. No profile is created.
If you choose a language or currency yourself, we store that choice in your browser's local storage (keys “calvus-lang” and “calvus-currency”). It is deleted when you clear this site's data in your browser. No cookie and no cookie banner are needed for this.
4. Web fonts (Google Fonts)
This website loads the “Plus Jakarta Sans” typeface via the Google Fonts service. When the font files are loaded, a connection to Google servers is established and technical connection data such as your IP address and browser information is transmitted. No cookies are set in this process.
The service is used to display the website consistently and legibly. Google's privacy information is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Contact and project enquiry form
When you use our project enquiry form, we process the personal data you submit — in particular your name, your email address, the service or package you selected, and the project details you provide.
This data is used solely to process your enquiry, prepare an offer and get in touch with you.
Your name and email address are required so that we can reply. All other details are optional. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through this form.
If you contact us directly by email or telephone instead, we likewise process the information provided solely in order to respond to your request.
6. FormSubmit.co
Form data is transmitted through the service FormSubmit.co, which receives the submitted data and forwards the enquiry to us by email.
According to its own information, FormSubmit.co stores form submissions for up to 30 days.
As part of the technical transmission, FormSubmit.co may additionally receive technical request information of the kind that arises with any internet request. The scope and details are governed by the provider's own terms.
FormSubmit's privacy information is available at https://formsubmit.co/privacy.
7. Zoho Mail
Enquiries received through the form or by email are delivered to our mailbox support@calvuswebdesign.com, which we operate using the Zoho Mail service.
From the moment of delivery, your enquiry is stored as an email in that mailbox and retained in accordance with our mailbox and deletion practices.
Zoho's privacy information is available at https://www.zoho.com/privacy.html.
8. Calendly
We use the Calendly service for appointment scheduling. Calendly is not embedded on this website; it is a plain external link. Simply visiting our website therefore does not load any Calendly scripts.
If you click the link, you leave our website and are taken to a Calendly platform. The details you enter there — for example your name, email address and preferred time — are processed by Calendly and made available to us in order to hold the appointment.
Calendly's privacy information is available at https://calendly.com/privacy.
9. Cookies, local storage and tracking
This website does not use any advertising, marketing or tracking cookies.
We only store your selected display language and currency locally in your browser (local storage, keys “calvus-lang” and “calvus-currency”) so that the website appears as you chose on your next visit. This entry is purely technical and functional, contains no personal data and is not transmitted to third parties.
You can delete this local storage entry at any time via your browser settings.
As no consent-requiring technologies are used, we deliberately do not display a cookie banner.
10. Analytics and statistics
No web analytics service and no advertising tracking is currently in use on this website. In particular, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag and comparable services are not integrated.
Should we introduce an analytics tool in future, we will update this privacy policy beforehand and obtain consent where required.
11. Service providers and disclosure to third parties
We disclose personal data only where this is necessary to provide our services or where a legal obligation exists. The services currently used are those named in this policy: the hosting provider of this website, FormSubmit.co, Zoho Mail and Calendly.
We do not sell personal data.
12. International data transfers
Personal data may also be processed outside Switzerland when certain service providers are used. Where necessary, the safeguards or exceptions provided for by law are applied.
Where the exact processing location of a provider is not conclusively known to us, we say so explicitly rather than making claims we cannot substantiate. We will inform you of the current status on request.
13. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. These include encrypted transmission of this website via HTTPS, access protection for our mailbox, and not operating our own database of form submissions.
However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed when transmitting data over the internet.
14. Retention and deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as this is necessary for the respective purposes or as long as statutory retention obligations apply.
Form submissions are not stored in a database on our website infrastructure.
According to its own information, FormSubmit.co stores form submissions for up to 30 days. We have no influence over this retention period.
Once delivered, your enquiry is retained as an email in our Zoho Mail mailbox in accordance with our mailbox and deletion practices.
15. Your rights
Under Swiss data protection law you have, in particular, the right to obtain information about the personal data we process, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion and, under certain conditions, to receive or transfer your data. You may also object to processing.
Where the GDPR applies, you additionally have the rights provided for there, namely access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, simply send a message to support@calvuswebdesign.com. To protect your data, we may request additional information to verify your identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); within the scope of the GDPR, it is the data protection authority responsible for you.
16. Changes to this privacy policy
We may amend this privacy policy at any time, in particular if our services, the services we use or the legal framework change. The version published on this page at the relevant time applies.
